Quinten J. Washington Recertifies as Certified Construction Manager
McLean, VA. (May 9, 2016) – Quinten J. Washington, President & Chief Executive Officer of Quintessential Construction Managers & Consultants, LLC, was recently recertified as a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) by the Construction Manager Certification Institute (CMCI). The CCM, which is accredited by the American National Standards Institute under ANSI/ISO/IEC Standard 17024, is the premier professional credential for construction managers.
CCMs have voluntarily met the prescribed criteria of the program with regard to formal education, field experience and demonstrated capability and understanding of the CM Body of Knowledge. The CCM designation is awarded to those who have met the professional standards and have demonstrated a commitment to and interest in providing the highest quality professional CM services.
To earn the CCM, applicants complete a comprehensive and rigorous process including an extensive application review process, client references, and a comprehensive five-hour exam.
To maintain certification, a CCM must accumulate professional credits every three years based on continuing professional development and active involvement in the profession.
The CCM program is a wholly owned subsidiary of CMAA (Construction Management Association of America), an association that supports professional CMs in enhancing their performance and capabilities. The CCM program demonstrates CMAA’s mission to promote the profession of construction management and the use of qualified construction managers on capital projects and programs, as well as CMCI’s mission to recognize through certification individual knowledge and experience that meet established practices of construction management. The Construction Industry Institute (CII) has endorsed and recommended the CCM for the benefits the credential can bring to their execution of individual capital projects.
