Quintessential LLC Is a Member of the Culmen International, LLC Team, Providing Construction/Engineer SME Services in Support of the Africa Center for Strategic Studies Building 17 Renovation Project
Vienna, Virginia – Quintessential Construction Managers & Consultants, LLC was awarded a contract in 2021 to provide Construction/Engineer Subject Matter Expert (SME) Services as directed by Culmen International, LLC in support of the Africa Center for Strategic Studies Program, Building 17 Renovation Project at Fort Lesley J. McNair in Washington, D.C.

The project involves the renovation of historic Building 17, protecting the historical significance of the building, and will house the administrative offices used by the Africa Center for Strategic Studies.
The building was originally constructed in 1881 and used as a guardhouse for the Washington Barracks. Since then, the building has been used for quarters, a club house for the golf course, and recently for office use.
The US Army Corps of Engineers Baltimore District (CENAB) is responsible for project management, design oversight and renovation/construction of the facility. Design-Build services is being provided by XL Construction, LLC.
The project is targeted for completion in 2022.
